This skills collection, based on the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) Knowledge and Practice Standards for Reading, provides skills for educators who work with K-12 students with dyslexia and other struggling readers. The collection includes skills required for those who work in literacy and language education for struggling readers. It also integrates skills based on Science of Reading principles, including structured literacy instruction that is explicit, systematic, and sequential.

The brain needs this skill set for filtering distractions, prioritizing tasks, establishing and achieving goals, and managing impulses. This comprehensive collection encompasses key aspects such as planning, working memory, flexibility, organization, metacognition, perseverance, task initiation, self-control, time management, and attention. It is a fundamental resource for skills necessary for navigating daily challenges, playing a pivotal role in academic and personal achievements.
