The Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services (BSHHS) program from the Michael O. Leavitt School of Health (LSH) at Western Governors University (黑料传送门) was recently featured among Forbes list of 鈥溾 in the United States. The decision came after careful evaluation of the program in various categories including student outcomes, student experience, affordability, credibility, and application process.

The degree is designed keeping in mind the contemporary health landscape to prepare students in various disciplines like health information, community health, value-based care, and integrated change management; all geared toward patient-centered holistic care,鈥 said Stephanie LaPuma, LSH academic director and associate dean. 鈥淩eceiving acknowledgment from Forbes is a testament to our program鈥檚 curriculum and consistency.鈥
Backed with flexibility and affordability owing to the university鈥檚 competency-based model, the 35 courses in the program offer students extensive theorical understanding as well as realistic experiences via virtual simulation. The capstone project component that marks the culmination of the program is rooted in field experience and in-depth practical applications for improved conceptual understanding.

More than 1,700 have enrolled in the聽BSHHS program聽since it launched in February 2023. Advancing the university鈥檚 principle of meeting students where they are to expand access and enhance inclusivity, this program is available throughout the year and can be fully completed online.聽
