OVERVIEW
We Support Military Students
Ìý
ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ is a great university for service members who wants to earn a degree and benefit from the flexibility of online learning. Our competency-based online degree programs allow you to benefit from your existing knowledge. Our faculty and staff provide continuous support to help you make progress as quickly as you are able to. And our programs have been repeatedly recognized as military-friendly. At the same time, however, it’s important to understand when ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ is not the right choice. Our programs are designed to serve the degree-seeking student, not someone who is just looking to complete a few courses. If you think you may want to complete a degree program at ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ—perhaps even one started somewhere else—we may be a great fit. However, if you are looking for just individual courses, you will be better served at another online or traditional university.

How to Set Up Tuition Assistance Benefits at ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ
- ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ must receive official transcripts fromÌýallÌýprevious colleges you have attended, as well as your military transcripts (e.g., JST or Joint Service Transcript).Ìý Transcript deadline is theÌý1stÌýof the month prior to your intended start date.ÌýÌý
- Once all transcripts are received, a request is made to expedite a transfer evaluation and/or degree verification for you.
- Before we can move forward with a Degree Plan, you must complete all admission requirements (e.g., continued communication with Enrollment Counselor, meet all program requirements/prerequisites, Admissions review of student's file, provisionally admitted into ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ program).
- When the transfer evaluation is completed, you receive a Degree Plan for your program. It includes the courses, codes, and costs breakdown required to complete your TA Application with your branch of service.
- Upload the Degree Plan to your military branch portal or submit it to your local Base Education Office for approval.Ìý
- When your TA Application has been approved and you receive the TA Authorization you must send a copy via email toÌýVA@wgu.edu
- ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ will review the TA Authorization document to confirm the approved courses on it match the courses in the first term of the Degree Plan you were provided.
- The expected TA amount will be applied as a pending credit, reducing the up-front amount of tuition for which you are responsible.
