​​The AMA (American Marketing Association) ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ Collegiate Student Chapter is a perfect opportunity for students. The Chapter provides leadership and networking opportunities, educational webinars, and other opportunities. The Chapter is student led and focuses on topics which are of interest to a wide variety of participants.

Executive Board & Advisors

Ashley Flynn, Primary Faculty Advisor

Ashley Flynn earned her BA in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University and MBA with a focus on Marketing at Nova Southeastern University. She was one of the founding members for her AMA chapter when she was pursing her undergraduate program and held various student positions in the chapter as well as attend the AMA International Collegiate Conference. She is an experienced educator teaching online marketing classes and has a wealth of professional marketing and advertising experience with a focus on digital marketing from both a B2B and B2C standpoint. Ashley's experience includes working for national TV shows, e-commerce businesses as well a non-profit organization. She has always demonstrated a passion for marketing and higher education and loves nothing more than being able to share her passion with others. Ashley loves being part of ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ as a Senior Program Mentor and helping both undergraduate and graduate students follow their passion for marketing!

Lauren Bellflower, Faculty Advisor for Advertising and Promotions

Dr. Lauren Bellflower (she/her) holds a PhD in Business with a Marketing concentration from University of the Cumberlands, a Masters of Science in Marketing and Communications, and a Bachelors of Business Administration from Franklin University. Her dissertation focuses on how to teach for the future of the marketing discipline. She is additionally pursuing a Masters of Education in Education Technology and Instructional design from ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ. She has served as an Instructor for ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ since April 2022 and has been teaching adult learners since 2019. She is a first-generation college graduate and is passionate about getting students excited for marketing in a way that connects the coursework to their own lives. She has worked in a variety of marketing positions including roles with a financial firm, corporate real estate, and with a marketing agency. She also has a history of community building within various roles with her sorority, Delta Zeta, as well as creating and running the Music City Young Professionals. She has been an AMA member since 2014. She served as Vice President of membership during her time at Franklin University. Currently, she is a local member of the Nashville chapter. Lauren values her experience and connections she has made through AMA and hopes students will do the same.

Rachel Hayes, Faculty Advisor for Programming and Events

Rachel is a Program Mentor in the School of Business and specializes in supporting undergraduate and graduate students in Marketing. She received her Master degree in Communication with an Emphasis in Education, as well as an undergrad in Applied Management at Grand Canyon University. She has over 10 years of experience working in higher education and has served in various director roles while overseeing student events, community engagement, and volunteer opportunities. Outside of ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ, Rachel has experience managing pro sporting events, community outreach, and assists in coordinating annual non-profit activities. ÌýShe is passionate about growth, innovation, and development while finding fun and creative networking opportunities to connect with others. Mentoring at ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ has been a career highlight as she always enjoys helping others and meeting new people. She is excited to collaborate with AMA and helping others thrive in the marketing industry.Ìý

Student Leadership Team

Malcolm B. Robertson, President

Malcolm B. Robertson is currently earning his Bachelor of Science Business Administration in Marketing at Western Governors University. He is also a full-time active-duty service member and serves in the U.S. Army as an Army Recruiter in the Hartford Army Recruiting Company. His role as a Station Commander, managing an office of 3 recruiters, affords him ample opportunities to gain firsthand experience with different marketing practices. He is the owner of the company Heimdall Images LLC, which he started in June 2022. Operating a small business taught Malcolm how important and valuable marketing is. It ultimately was the inspiration for him to begin his marketing program at ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ. He is a member of the national American Marketing Association of the ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ Student Chapter, the Connecticut Chapter, and the New York Chapter. Malcolm truly enjoys learning and applying everything marketing at every opportunity that he has. He keeps up with the evolution of marketing and is learning how to incorporate AI software in his marketing efforts. He embraces his role as Chapter President and looks forward to the development that student leaders and faculty members will contribute to the AMA ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ Chapter.

Christopher Powe, President Elect

Christopher entered the dynamic world of hospitality in 2016 as a sales coordinator, quickly demonstrating his leadership acumen by rising to the position of General Manager within two years. His career trajectory continued its upward climb as he took on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing with PEG Hospitality, where he generated over a million dollars in revenue and secured partnerships with multiple Fortune 500 companies.

Seeking to broaden his skill set, Christopher transitioned into revenue management with EMA Hospitality in late 2022. In this capacity, he has successfully overseen the revenue optimization and marketing strategy for a diverse 12-property portfolio, serving both B2B and B2C clients.

In addition to his hospitality expertise, Christopher recently founded Ignite Commercial Marketing, a venture aimed at providing digital marketing solutions to small businesses. A dedicated lifelong learner, Christopher is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Business Administration in Marketing at Western Governors University, further enhancing his business and marketing knowledge.

Maxine Ulmer, VP of Programming and Events

Max is a Utah native who found her place in Ogden after many years of searching for home. Max has an amazing partner of 11 years and 3 dogs who are her world. She is pursuing her degree at ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ in Bachelor of Science Business Administration in Marketing and works in audio advertising sales for a wonderful company. Max’s dream is to one day have her own marketing firm focused on helping small, locally owned businesses grow!

Stacey Flores, VP of Advertising and PromotionsÌý

Stacey Flores is a first-generation university student! She is passionate about all things marketing, especially content marketing. She currently has 2 years of experience in B2B marketing. She manages direct mail campaigns, creates engaging social media posts, manages CRM's (Glasshive & Go High Level), creates PR campaigns, and more. When she is not in front of a computer working, she loves going to concerts and spending quality time with my family and friends!
