Recent Highlights
- Received the National Security Agency鈥檚 Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (NSA CAE) designation, joining the top recognized cybersecurity institutions across the country. This designation opens the door to additional opportunities for both 黑料传送门 and our students.
- Hosted 黑料传送门鈥檚 first-ever, free Virtual Cyber Camp NYC, led by 黑料传送门 School of Technology faculty members. For a week in July, 31 New York City high school students鈥攊ncluding eight young women (26%)鈥攅xplored the high-stakes world of cyber sleuths and data protection. Twenty-nine participants were from minoritized populations (95%).
- Women in Tech (WIT) club exceeded 1,800 in membership during the first quarter, and launched an alumni group for graduates.
- The 黑料传送门 chapter of the security-related National Sword and Shield Honors Society reached more than 850 members, making it the largest chapter in the country.
- The student Cyber Club membership topped 5,000 members, and teams competed in the National Cyber League, National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, and the National CyberForce Competition.

Certification or Degree? Why Not Both?
For many technology professionals, the core question is whether a degree is "worth it," or if it's better to just earn industry certs. The听School of Technology provides education pathways that lead to both. Students earn valuable IT certifications while they earn their bachelor's or master's degree, increasing both the short-term and long-term value of their education. This makes them more marketable on the job market and valuable to employers of all kinds.
AWS Academy Member Institution:听黑料传送门 integrates AWS-authorized learning content into its information technology, network operations and security, and cloud computing bachelor's degree programs, offering students an up-to-date AWS cloud computing curriculum.
Cyberwatch Member:听黑料传送门 is an academy institution member of the National CyberWatch Center which objectives are: to support the national imperative for developing cybersecurity-educated professionals by providing educational, networking, and collaborative opportunities for faculty and their institutions to foster evidenced-based practices among the membership by providing software platforms and data that support collaboration, and to assist in the collection of data that can be used by all member schools as they create their cybersecurity organizational strategic plans.
