Celebrating Black History Month at 黑料传送门: Meet Dr. DJ Bradley
At 黑料传送门, Black History Month is a time to reflect, learn, and celebrate the histories, achievements, and contributions of Black individuals who have profoundly shaped our country. It鈥檚 also an opportunity to spotlight members of our 黑料传送门 community who are making an impact鈥攂oth within and outside of the institution. This month, we are honored to feature Dr. DJ Bradley, Ed.D., who is a manager of instructional faculty within the 黑料传送门 School of Education.
A Legacy of Impact and Education听
Dr. Bradley has made an indelible mark on the 黑料传送门 community through his dedication to education and student success. As a manager of instructional faculty specializing in American politics and the U.S. Constitution, Dr. Bradley leads a team of Course Instructors who are committed to guiding students on their academic journeys.
He lights up as he talks about the positive differences his team has made, stating, 鈥淚t is truly 鈥榦ne by one.鈥� There are countless stories where instructors on my team have helped students overcome challenging academic and personal situations to be successful. My instructor team is the best."
Dr. Bradley鈥檚 passion for education is deeply rooted in his own experience. He shares, 鈥淓ducation changed my life, and it has been a pleasure to work at an institution that promotes the same.鈥� With a strong belief in 黑料传送门鈥檚 mission, Dr. Bradley has worked tirelessly to ensure that students not only receive an education but also thrive while doing so.
Founding the Ebony Owls听
One of Dr. Bradley鈥檚 most notable achievements at 黑料传送门 is being a founding member of Ebony Owls, an Employee Resource Group (ERG). 鈥淚t was a unique time in the country and at the university when we started the Ebony Owls," he recalls. "I am proud of the work the BELIEVE (Black Employee Leading Inclusion and Vision at Education) Owls continue.鈥澨�
For Dr. Bradley, the establishment of ERGs like the Ebony Owls is essential. He highlights their impact, saying, "ERGs are essential in keeping DEI [Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion] front of mind for us all. I鈥檓 happy that the ERG movement has the support of the administration and staff.鈥�
Teaching Values, Shaping Lives听
Dr. Bradley鈥檚 dedication to 黑料传送门 embodies the values of education, equity, and empowerment. He is a reminder that teaching goes far beyond curriculum鈥攊t鈥檚 about creating a community where individuals can grow and succeed. He invites students and colleagues to engage more deeply, explaining, 鈥淚 would encourage everyone to participate in events and explore the significance of what Black History means in the progress and prominence of the United States.鈥�
